Long-standing studies have shown that some chemicals, when used the wrong way or in higher concentrations, can cause health issues for you and your family. Some of these chemicals are found in common-place cleaning products. Those concerned about health effects like headaches, migraines, asthma, and others should consider reducing their usage of cleaning agents with chemicals and increasing their use of natural cleaning products.

Replace Two Bottles in Your Home

Obtain vinegar, baking soda, lemon juice, and two new spray bottles. Create a diluted mixture of vinegar and water in both bottles. Replace one bottle of your regular household cleaner with one of these bottles near the kitchen or family room. Replace one bottle of bathroom cleaner with one of these bottles in or near your bathroom. Next time you need to clean something, grab the new spray bottle instead. Consider rubbing lemon juice on harder stains or sprinkling with baking soda. Spray the affected area liberally, remembering that the baking soda will bubble up when coming in contact with vinegar. Vinegar smells funny, but as it dries, the smell will dissipate.

Homemade Wet Wipes for Utility Use

Save an empty plastic wipes container and rinse it out, allowing it to completely dry. Remove a paper towel roll from the center of the paper roll. Cut the paper towel roll into thirds with scissors so they will fit inside the wipes container. Fill half the wipes container with a diluted solution of vinegar and water. Place enough of the cut-up paper towels into the wipes container to fill it. Snap it shut. Wait until the liquid absorbs. When you open the wipes container, it should have natural wet wipes. Remember, these are for wiping messy hands and fingers. Don’t use these in place of baby wipes.

Hire a Natural Health Cleaning Service

If you don’t have enough time to clean your home regularly or to the depths you prefer, consider hiring this chore out. Many people find the time that’s freed up to be more than worth it. Thankfully, cleaning services now offer the use of natural house cleaner as part of their product offerings. If you choose only to have natural cleaning products used in your home, the service will mark down that only chemical-free cleaning agents will be used. Switching in one fell-swoop can significantly cut down on the use of chemical-laden cleaning agents.
